I’m seeing more and more great stuff coming out of Australia. We did a feature awhile back on the Ksubi sunglasses that got alot of comments.
Gorman is a brand that not only creates great design but is making a solid commitment to eco-friendly, organic sustainable fashion. Go ahead and throw another shrimp on the barbie while you check out their SITE.

CLASS REUNION

Thanks to everyone for coming out the check out the “Class Reunion” party by yours truly and The Minority Report hosted by Heavy.

This is typography

My friend Brandon Avery (Converse) used to always talk about making a t-shirt that simply read “This is typography.” I would constantly shit on the idea cause I thought only design geeks like me would buy it.
Maybe someone could figure out how to make a typography shirt like this book from Roaring Brook Press.

Olympics Games don’t exactly evoke images of high style.. .

…but downtown retailers OPENING CEREMONY chose to use it as a form of inspiration anyway. The co-founders Humberto Leon and Carol Lim go to a new country and stay for a while to hang out and get the vibe before they go out shopping and buying two seasons worth from about ten designers, making sure to pick one power player and the rest relative unknowns. Luckily for New York shoppers, their tase is impeccable.The duo also produces their own line for the store and this season welcomes a preppy, colorful collection of footwear. Take a look at a few pieces from their Spring/Summer 2008 collection…

KATRINA EUGENIA x KISER

Shout outs to Katrina Eugenia for featuring a few of my pieces in her photo shoot this past week.  The men’s AK Assassin hoodie and the women’s Wallpaper Babydoll shirt can be seen below.  Shout outs to the stylist of the shoot, Angela, as well for creating the looks.  The shoot’s photos came out really well, there’s a strong sensual feeling, and I love that all the prints are in black and white; gives more of a vintage-like feel.
